TubeGraph: Finding the best parts of each video!

TubeGraph logo v1

TubeGraph logoWe are glad to introduce our first TubeGraph logo! Following our approach of transparency, find here the finished draft accompanied by previous (even worst;-) sketches.

We are not great designers (mmm, as you may have already noticed by the general style of the site - to be improved soon!) but we had clear ideas on how the logo should be, so we opened Inkscape and worked this (draft) version. Feedback and ideas are welcome, of course! Anyway, we already know that some tweaks should be applied to 2.0ify our logo.

Comments on the design:

Shape: TubeGraph's logo had to reflect the mix between videos and graphs, so we used an overall TV-shape (well, old TVs, not the flat-screen HD ones) also present in YouTube, and completed it with a (tube)graph displayed inside.

Color: Contrary to what people may thing, the reason for such colors has nothing to do with blood and grass. We picked green and red because those colors are traditional positive and negative indicators, and thus it seemed a good combination to be used by a rating system.

Our major concern after working on it (and this is not a joke) has to do with people with colorblindness, as our logo might be a complete mess for them. Comments on this issue will also be welcome. :-)
